In order to exchange information, support, consult and coordinate the implementation of solutions and products on information technology application and network security, on December 24th, 2018, CMC Technology signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Government Cipher Committee. Attending the signing ceremony, there were Brigadier Nguyen Nam Hai - Deputy Head of Government Cipher Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - General Head of Science and Technology Department, Mr. Vu Van Xung - Director of Civil Cryptographic Management and Cryptographic Product Testing Department, Mr. Tran Duc Su - Director of Center for Information Technology and Network Security Monitoring, and other members of the Government Cipher Committee. The representative of CMC is Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of Board of Directors /CEO of CMC Technology.

Under the cooperation agreement, CMC Technology and Government Cipher Committee will jointly develop and transfer technology, and coordinate to deploy information technology and information security products for agencies and enterprises, such as: monitoring, assessing information safety, preventing malicious code and troubleshooting network security incidents; sharing and exchanging information on network security risks; organizing annual scientific seminars and participating in rehearsals for network security as well as cooperating to train and exchange experts to improve professional qualifications for staff of the Parties. CMC Information Security Joint Stock Company (CMC Infosec) and CMC Software Solutions Co., Ltd. (CMC Soft) will be the contacts to coordinate and take responsibilities for consulting and organizing the implementation of this agreement. In addition, CMC Corporation also assigned CMC Telecom Infrastructure Joint Stock Company (CMC Telecom) to work with Government Cipher Committee in the coming time to research and pilot public service of the government on CMC’s Private Cloud platform - a secured platform for customers in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards. This cooperation agreement is valid for 5 years from the date of signing.

At the signing ceremony, Brigadier Nguyen Nam Hai - Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee emphasized: “The viewpoint of the Government Cipher Committee is to always expand cooperation in order to absorb scientific and technological resources of the country as well as the world to increase national defense potential and solve political tasks. The cooperation agreement today affirms that the Government Cipher Committee and CMC Technology are always important strategic partners of each other to ensure the commitment of long-term and sustainable cooperation, promote the strengths of each parties in order to improve technological capabilities and ensure network information security.” Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors/CEO of CMC Technology affirmed CMC's capacity: “In recent years, CMC Technology has always focused on investing and pioneering in the fields of information security, software solutions and telecommunications infrastructure, continuously developing and updating software products and services and information security solutions which are to meet the needs of agencies and organizations in the context that network security is the top priority.  The signing of the cooperation agreement will create conditions for CMC Technology to research and develop practical and targeted solutions, support Government Cipher Committee in State management of cipher. The Government Cipher Committee is the national cipher agency directly managed by the Minister of National Defense and is tasked with ensuring confidentiality of information for the leadership of the Party and the State. At the same time, it specializes in confidential and critical tasks with functions of consulting the Party and the State on encryption work, performing cryptography activities; contributing to ensure absolute confidentiality, safety, accuracy and timeliness of information to serve the Party’s leadership and the State's management. In recent years, the Governmental Cipher Committee has implemented a specialized system for digital signature verification, built systems, implemented information security monitoring on critical information technology network, implemented the management of civil codes and issued cryptographic standards, etc.
