The "AI-based Solutions Contest 2020" is held with the aim to promote research activities and innovative startup projects that apply Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as to encourage individuals and research teams in the country and overseas to propose and improve advanced AI solutions to solve important problems in life. Through which, it aims to honor agencies, institutions, enterprises and individuals who have excellent and potential AI research projects, solutions, products and services.

From June 2020 to August 2020, there are a total of 217 teams with 534 contestants in group 01 (AI-Challenge) and 39 applications registered to compete in group 02 (AI-Solution). Participating in the AI-Solution contest, CMC Institute of Science and Technology (CIST) has met the strict criteria to be in the Top 8 teams with its CMC Social Listening application and the software system of smart image management and analysis for face recognition - CIVAMS.FACE.  The award is a specific recognition of CMC Corporation's contribution and dedication to the development of AI in Vietnam.

Within the framework of IT and Artificial Intelligence Enterprises' Day 2020, at the seminar of "Application of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation", Mr. Le Anh Vu (Creative Director of CMC Telecom) introduced CMC Open Cognitive Platform - a new platform of CMC that allows institutions to easily deploy and test their AI applications. This will be the first open-source D.L. (Deep Learning) platform in Vietnam that can shorten setup time, is flexible in terms of deployment and is compatible with developers of open-source applications and application development libraries - not to mention many other advantages, said Mr. Le Anh Vu.  The product has left a good impression and attracted the interest of many guests at the seminar.

AI research and development work is considered one of the priorities in technology research and development of CMC Corporation.
