Quang Ngai Agricultural Products and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company shakes hand with CMC TS for digital transformation
Digital Transformation: The prerequisite for business promotion and operation
Quang Ngai Agricultural Products and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (APFCO) was established in 2003 after the equitization of state-owned Quang Ngai Agricultural Products and Foodstuff Company. APFCO operates in many fields of production and business, and is the leading company in manufacturing and trading tapioca starch and modified tapioca starch. Currently, APFCO has 15 tapioca starch factories across the country and overseas (Laos) with a total production capacity of over 3,000 tons of tapioca starch products per day (in which there are more than 500 tons of tapioca starch per day) and total annual output of over 500,000 tons of products of all kinds.
So far, APFCO has used individual management, accounting and warehouse management software to manage production and business activities nationwide. However, due to the fact that its 15 factories are in different locations, APFCO has difficulty in obtaining information and updating data to timely make business decisions. Therefore, the approval of requests for purchasing and selling as well as of production and warehousing plans are delayed.
The company needs a solution that integrates purchase/sale, inventory, operation, finance, etc. into a single system to help with the optimization and standardization of processes as well as the centralized data processing. APFCO's Board of Directors thus selected CMC TS as its partner in consulting and implementing a corporate governance system to help APFCO completely digitalize its business processes for effective business management and business acceleration.
Quang Ngai Agricultural Products and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (APFCO) officially kicks off SAP Business One project on 4 January 2022.
Localized version of SAP Business One: Comprehensive and user-friendly business management solution
As a Gold Partner of SAP in Vietnam, CMC TS has adequate capacity and practical experience in consulting SAP's business management solutions for many organizations and businesses. After surveying and evaluating business processes as well as the scale of APFCO, CMC TS advised the application of SAP Business One (SAP B1) solution to the company office and its 15 factories. SAP B1 is a solution with reasonable investment costs and suitable modules for manufacturing companies with complex and large-scale management processes like APFCO. In order to build the most user-friendly solution for Vietnamese users, CMC TS has completely localized the SAP B1 system.
Implemented since January 2022, the project is expected to be completed in 8 months and will be officially put into operation on 1 August 2022. When successfully deployed, SAP B1 will help APFCO optimize management processes of the company's departments and thus improve productivity as well as product quality. APFCO's competitiveness will be raised higher in the market. APFCO will be able to calculate the cost of manufactured products immediately after each production order is completed.
