Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong: "Towards the digital future" is the vision and mission of CMC
On the afternoon of 3 July 2020 in Hanoi, societies and associations in the field of IT and communications held the 2020 ICT Meeting and the seminar of "Digital transformation: Opportunities and Challenges".
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Duc Dam, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Le Quang Huy, together with representatives of agencies and institution under the Ministry, societies and associations and leaders of many IT companies. Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong - Deputy General Director, Director of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises division of CMC TS represented CMC Corporation at the seminar.
At the seminar, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that digital transformation is related to changing the model of governance and business, and must be led by leaders of businesses. The Minister encouraged IT companies to develop technology products to solve practice problems in service of the society. In addition, he also raised the need to focus on building infrastructure and technology foundation, so that data of the digital economy is stored in Vietnam instead of overseas.
Representing CMC Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong - Deputy General Director, Director of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises division of CMC TS had a speech at the seminar, which affirmed that CMC always considers going "towards the digital future" its vision and mission. CMC always tries to help organizations and businesses in computerization and digital transformation activities.
To carry out that mission, CMC Corporation is built with 3 pillars: Infrastructure, Technology & Solutions, and Human Resources. In particular:
• In the field of Infrastructure, CMC provides services of Data Center, Network, Internet, Cloud platforms, IT equipment, etc.
• In the field of Technology & Solutions, CMC offers products and services to the government (tax, customs, etc.), banking, insurance, manufacturing, education, health
• In the field of Human Resources, CMC provides resources for software development and IT services both domestically and internationally.

In addition, CMC Corporation also proposed the initiative of the open ecosystem C. OPE2N, and participated in alliances including: Digital transformation alliance, Cloud alliance, CoMeet alliance, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong also sent to Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung several recommendations:
• Since manufacturing is the field with great opportunities for Vietnam, the Government needs to support manufacturing businesses in implementing digital transformation, communication and applying for loans in the digital transformation, etc.
• The Government needs to prescribe clear regulations on the use of digital signatures and electronic contracts, as well as supplement guiding decrees and circulars. For example: civil liability insurance for cars and motorbikes can be done completely in electronic form.
• Facilitate the use of remote conference applications to help cut costs and work expenses of civil servants.
At the end of the seminar, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said: “Vietnam considers the National Digital Transformation is a strategic program of the State. One of the perspectives that is expressed throughout the program is taking citizens as the center. Enterprises that want to develop need to bring products and services to the people. ” In addition to better serve the people, the Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of National Digital Transformation as to better develop the economy and to help Vietnam avoid disadvantages in international cooperation.
ICT Meeting is the annual exchange program of IT- communication community, businesses, institutes, schools, associations and State management agencies. Usually held every spring, however, due to the impacts of Covid-19, this year's event took place later than usual.
