100 computer sets are donated to People's Committee of Ba Vi District, Hanoi

On 29 August 2023, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu - Director of Marketing and Communications Department represented CMC Corporation to deliver the gift of 100 computer sets (worth nearly 600 million VND) to support the education and digital transformation in Ba Vi District, Hanoi. These computers were then allocated to people's committees of communes and schools of the district.

The gift-giving ceremony is within the framework of the Conference for Closing school year 2022-2023 and implementing key tasks in school year 2023-2024 of Ba Vi District Department of Education and Training. Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh - Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Ba Vi District appreciated this relevant and practical gift of CMC Corporation. "This meaningful act of CMC will help Ba Vi to promote the application of information technology in teaching and schools to have more teaching equipment as well as contribute to the digital transformation of the district", said Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh.

In school year 2023-2024, Ba Vi District Department of Education and Training continues to further promote the application of IT in teaching, learning and educational management activities. In particular, IT application is considered the key for education integration, improvement and development in the current period.

Mr. Duong Cao Thanh - Secretary of Ba Vi District Party Committee also emphasized: "The focus of the district's activities in the coming time is to promote comprehensive digital transformation in Education, Economics, Healthcare, etc. The 100 computer sets donated by CMC will make an important contribution to the digital transformation of the government from commune level. I believe that with the cooperation of CMC - a leading company in digital transformation, the speed of deploying digital transformation activities in Ba Vi District will be improved even more..."

As an IT firm, over its 30 years of establishment and development, CMC has many times given computers as gift to border areas and islands - where access to IT equipment is difficult. Previously, CMC also donated 3,600 tablet computers worth 2.5 million VND each to disadvantaged students to help them with their online study. This activity is the response to the "Connection and Computers for Students" program initiated by the Prime Minister.

On 26 August 2023, CMC and Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President of Vietnam, Chairwoman of Vietnam Association for Promoting Education together presented the gift of 100 million VND to Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Fund in Chan Ly Commune, Ly Nhan District, Ha Nam Province.

300 million VND are donated for children in Hue to have smile surgery

As the new school year is approaching, with the desire to bring more smiles to children in the central provinces and permission from People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province and local Department of Health and agencies, from 21 to 25 August 2023, CMC Corporation and Operation Smile Vietnam kicked off the surgery program for children with cleft lip, cleft palate and facial deformities in Hue.

Through the Digital Heritage Race, CMC in collaboration with Operation Smile was able to donate 300 million VND for surgery costs, equivalent to 30 smile surgeries to unfortunate children in poor households of the Central Region. The race started a series of activities to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of CMC Corporation with the theme of "Inspire The Digital Heritage".

On behalf of CMC Corporation, Mr. Vu Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of CMC Telecom's Central Branch, attended the event and presented this meaningful gift to the children.

On the first day, despite the scorching sun, a team of medical experts and non-medical volunteers conducted comprehensive examinations for 145 young patients; among which, 99 are eligible for surgery.
