CMC joins Vietnam Digital Transformation Alliance
On 8 August 2019, the 2019 Vietnam ICT Summit organized by Ministry of Information and Communications and VINASA took place at Melia Hotel, Hanoi. This year's summit was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, leaders of the central and local ministries and agencies, as well as nearly 1,000 delegates. With the theme of “Digital transformation for a prosperous Vietnam”, this year, Vietnam ICT Summit aims at calling for the consensus in action among agencies, ministries, departments, communities, enterprises and the whole society for national digital transformation.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of Vietnam Digital Transformation Alliance, which is a collection of reputable and capable ICT enterprises, working together for a successful digital transformation of Vietnam and for the country to become stronger in the field of ICT. Ranked in the Top 2 ICT companies in Vietnam with many practical contributions to the development of the IT industry over the years, CMC Corporation was invited to join the Vietnam Digital Transformation Alliance. Mr. Ho Thanh Tung (Deputy CEO of CMC Corporation, General Director of CMC TS) will take on the role of Vice Chairman of the Alliance. Joining the Alliance, CMC Corporation will contribute to the common activities in the digital transformation, and better promote its strengths at the same time.

Also on the same morning of Vietnam ICT Summit, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh (Chairman of Board of Directors/CEO of CMC Corporation, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA)) attended 2 seminars on breakthrough solutions to boost the digital transformation process, with 2 topics of ICT infrastructure development and Application platforms. In the seminar on application platforms, Mr. Chinh coordinated the discussion with leaders from CMC, MISA, TOPICA, Vietcombank and Lien Viet Post Bank - pioneers in the development of application platform. In order to realize the Government's goal that by 2030, Vietnam will become a digital nation with leading digital economy in the region where new technologies and models are tested, leading enterprises need to pioneer in digital transformation, create application platforms and lead other businesses. For example, MISA has developed an intelligent payment platform that connects e-wallet - electronic money transfer - electronic payment gateway; TOPICA has built the E-Learning online training platform; Vietcombank has launched the project of "Digital banking transformation", etc. Understanding the importance of connectivity and data, CMC Corporation has also completed and launched C.OPE2N (CMC Open Ecosystem for Enterprise), allowing agencies, businesses and customers of CMC to connect and share data resources in a digital environment. Mr. Luong Tuan Thanh (Technology Director of CMC TS) said: “C.OPE2N chooses the approach of "standing on the shoulders of giants", which means cooperating with platforms around the world such as Microsoft, AWS, Google, etc. to bring added-values to customers. We build the technology on the principles of Open, Trust and Inspire".

At the end of the two seminars, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam gave the following directions: “In the context of international cooperation and competition, Vietnam needs to have a desire accompanied by a will. For the ICT community, not only aspiration and will are needed, but also the creativity and breakthrough mindset to think outside the box and seize the opportunity. In particular, we have to stand by each other and together set up the Alliance to contribute to the National Digital Transformation Project and make Vietnam a prosperous country.”
