CMC donates 3600 tablet computers to disadvantaged students
Mr. Ho Thanh Tung - General Director - representative of CMC Corporation presented this gift at the program "Connection and Computers for Students" held by Hanoi Department of Education and Training on 15 September 2021.
The program is in response to the call of the Prime Minister. From the office of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, representatives of the government and businesses are connected to 30 Education and Training offices of districts and towns, as well as more than 200 affiliated training institutions of centers for vocational and continuing education of the city.
Immediately after the program, the first installment of donation will be given to students who are studying in the academic year 2021-2022, along with the launching of the electronic learning materials warehouse of Hanoi’s Education and Training sector.

According to Mr. Tung, in the coming time, CMC will work with the community to realize the dual goal of both disease prevention and socioeconomic development. The fact the CMC joins hand with agencies and departments proves its social responsibility as well as its contribution to building a strong shield to protect the community and help Vietnam quickly defeat the pandemic.

Dao Dieu Huyen (student of class 6C - Bach Ha Secondary School) on behalf of students who were given computers said: "My family's situation is difficult, since my father is paralyzed, my mother left me when I was just 4 years old and I was raised by my grandmother. Our only source of income is grandmother's vegetable and pomelo garden, so when the pandemic strikes, I have difficulty learning online because I have no equipment. Fortunately, with the attention of the leaders of Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the sponsors, me and other students in difficult circumstances have computers for online study. So from now on, I can join my classmates in studying online."
In addition to donating tablet computers, from the beginning of 2021, 3600 officers and employees of CMC have actively participated in charity activities. Previously, CMC staff donated a day's salary to the Covid-19 Fund to support the whole country to fight the pandemic. To date, more than 22 billion VND in cash, hundreds of technological and medical equipment have been delivered to pandemic-hit areas; millions of gift packages and consumables for frontline medical staff have been sent to field hospitals with CMC's companion.
In the coming time, if the pandemic continues to be stressful, CMC will try its best to contribute to realizing the dual goal of pandemic prevention and socio-economic maintenance and development by committing to providing essential technology products and solutions to customers.
