A ceremony is held to announce the decision on appointing Vice President of CMC University

Representing CMC University to attend the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan– Former Vice President of Vietnam, Chairwoman of Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, Honorary Chairwoman of the University Council; Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh – Chairman of Board of Directors of CMC Corporation, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung- Permanent Vice President; Mr. Ho Nhu Hai – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Chairman of Club of Faculties Institutes Schools Universities of ICT (FISU), Vice Chairman of Science and Training Council of CMC University; Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - Vice Chairman of Science and Training Council of CMC University; along with all lecturers and officers from faculties, departments and units under CMC University.

From CMC Corporation, there was the participation of Mr. Ho Thanh Hai - CEO of the corporation; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hai - Senior Vice President, Managing Director, CEO of CMC; Mr. Ngo Trong Hieu - Executive Vice President, CEO of CMC Telecom; Mr. Ha The Phuong, CEO of CMC TS; and Dr.  Dang Minh Tuan - Director of CMC Institute of Science and Technology.

At the start of the ceremony, Mr. Ho Nhu Hai - Vice President of CMC University announced the decision of CMC University Council to appoint Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Vy to the position of Vice President of CMC University in the 2022-2017 term of office.

Speaking at the ceremony, Former Vice President of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Doan, concurrently Honorary Chairwoman of CMC University Council expressed her expectation that the new Vice President, with her enthusiasm and passion, will join the Presidential Board to lead CMC University to new achievements in the future. She also noted the strong development of CMC University with modern and international standard facilities after just nearly a year of operation.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh - Chairman of Board of Directors of CMC Corporation, Chairman of CMC University Council confirmed that this event marked a new step in the development of the university. “CMC University pays special attention to develop its team of leaders. With the addition of a Vice President, I believe the Presidential Board will stay determined and strive to build CMC University into a strong educational institution" - said Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – President of CMC University sent his congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Vy for being appointed as the new Vice President in charge of quality assurance and human resources. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh said: "I am confident that with her competence and experience, she will do a good job. All the officers, lecturers and employees of CMC University welcome her with open arms and trust that she will perform the tasks assigned by the University Council well."

With the trust of leaders of the University Council and the Presidential Board as well as lecturers and staff of the university, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Vy said that to her, this appointment is both an honor and a challenge.

"In this new position and with my experience in education management, I face a great challenge to meet the needs of a digital university in the era of Industry 4.0. The goal of CMC University is to become a well-known digital university in Asia by 2033 and to have its name on the world map by 2043. This is a really big strategy which requires each and every member of CMC University to make efforts and determine to come up with appropriate roadmap, investment and operation to achieve that goal. I promise to do my best to achieve the goals set by the University. At the same time, I look forward to receiving the support of the Presidential Board as well as the lecturers, staff and students so that I can successfully fulfill my duties" - said the new Vice President at the ceremony.

Through the appointment of a new Vice President who is a seasoned professional in human resources, quality assurance and operation of educational institutions, CMC University has proved its determination to achieve the strategic goal of ensuring international standard training quality with globally accredited training programs and facilities. This is also the proof of its commitment to training quality for students, parents and especially employers. Therefore, the development of a program quality assurance and accreditation system with the help of prestigious accrediting institutions in the world is a long-term strategy of CMC University.

With the appointment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Vy to the position of Vice President, CMC University has consolidated its Presidential Board as planned. To end the event, the Presidential Board of CMC University made its official introduction to all participants of the ceremony.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Vy is an outstanding alumnus of Hanoi University of Pharmacy. She got a Doctorate in Pharmacy in 2009 and received the title of Associate Professor in 2013.

Before being appointed as Vice President of CMC University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Vy used to hold positions including Senior Lecturer, Deputy Head of Graduate Studies Department, Deputy Head of Testing and Quality Assurance Department, and Head of Testing and Quality Assurance Department of Hanoi University of Pharmacy. At the same time, she has participated in 8 scientific research projects and had nearly 40 scientific manuscripts published in prestigious journals and presented at esteemed conferences. She also joined the compilation of and acted as the chief author of a number of undergraduate and graduate curricula.
