CMC makes impression with information security solutions
Within the framework of the International Conference and Exhibition of Vietnam Information Security Day 2022 organized by Ministry of Information and Communications on November 24 in Hanoi, CMC Corporation participated in the exhibition and left a very good impression with its information security solutions.
The conference this year was held with the theme of "Ensuring Cyber Security for Citizen and Enterprise in Digital Transformation." CMC is one of the silver sponsors of the program.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Lam Van Doan - Vice Chairman of National Assembly's Social Affairs Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung - President of VNISA, Major General Vu Ngoc Thiem - Head of Central Cipher Committee, Major General Tong Viet Trung - Deputy Commander of Cyberspace Operations Command, Major General Le Minh Manh - Deputy Director General of Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention and Control (A05), Mr. Tran Dang Khoa - Deputy Director General of Authority of Information Security, Mr. Vu Quoc Thanh - Vice President/Secretary General of VNISA, as well as over 30 speakers being leaders of Ministries, state management agencies, prestigious domestic and international experts in network safety and cyber security.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications said that digital transformation is a big and long-term program of the country. Migrating more activities to the digital environment means more demand for cyber security. Currently, there are at least over 3,000 information systems of Party and State agencies, over 1 million enterprises, 5 million individual business households, 26 million households and 100 million people in need of protection.

"This is a huge amount of work. Therefore, all agencies, organizations and people must actively participate in ensuring cyber security, with the principle of "As the real world, so the virtual world" - said Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung.
The representative of Ministry of Information and Communications expects that through this event, each agency, organization, enterprise and person will have more awareness and preparation to confidently promote the digital transformation process.

Enterprises play a key role in implementing the national cyber security strategy
The highlight of the event was the open discussion on "The Role of Enterprise in the National Cyber Security Strategy", hosted by Dr. Vu Quoc Thanh - Vice President & Secretary General of VNISA, with the participation of leaders of Authority of Information Security; Mr. Dao Gia Hanh (Deputy CTO of FPT IS); Mr. Ha The Phuong (General Director of CMC Cyber Security); Mr. Shash Hegde (Senior Customer Engineer, Security - Public Sector, Google Asia Pacific).
The seminar focuses on analyzing the State's policies and international experience on enhancing cyber security; as well as the current situation and the demand for application and development of information security technologies and solutions in Vietnam today.

Talking about the role of enterprises in the National Cyber Security Strategy, Mr. Ha The Phuong said that the creation of high-quality cyber security products and services is completely within the reach of technology firms like CMC and FPT; however, the multifaceted guidance and support from government authorities such as Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Science and Technology, etc. are needed in the dissemination and universalization to raise awareness and bring products to people.

At the event, Mr. Ho Thanh Tung - General Director of CMC Corporation joined the signing ceremony to establish the Alliance for raising awareness and developing skills for information security for people in the cyberspace. Also participating in the ceremony with CMC were representatives of Authority of Information Security, VNISA and 8 other enterprises: VNPT, Viettel, MobiFone, TikTok, VNG, Coc Coc, BKAV and VNG. With a composition including state agencies, associations and enterprises in telecommunications, cyber security and social networks, it is hoped that the Alliance will have sufficient knowledge and technical tools to contribute to protecting people in the cyberspace.

"Information security in digital transformation must be closely linked to each item in the digital transformation ecosystem. Also according to Authority of Information Security, the Alliance's mission is to promote the cooperation between state agencies, associations and enterprises to raise awareness and disseminate basic skills to people in order to ensure information security when using the internet. From that, the Alliance helps create a safe cyberspace in Vietnam, minimize information security incidents and actively promote the process of digital transformation and development of digital socioeconomic infrastructure.
